
Sound Tigers Come Back to Win

HARTFORD - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers overcame a 3-1 third-period deficit to score five times in the final stanza of a 6-3 win over the rival Hartford Wolf Pack at the Hartford Civic Center on Friday night.
Blake Comeau scored twice and assisted on three other goals to lead the comeback. Comeau, a rookie, now has nine points in two games to begin the year. The Sound Tigers improved to 2-0 and Hartford dropped to 0-2 in the first of 10 regular-season meetings by the Connecticut foes this season.
Comeau got the Sound Tigers within 3-2 with a power play goal just 1:12 into the third. Steve Regier tied the game when he was set up for a tap-in on a perfect feed from Drew Fata who made a series of nifty moves to earn the assist with 8:36 to play. Jeremy Colliton scored the go-ahead goal just 30 seconds later on a shot assisted by Comeau and Regier who capped a two-point shift with the helper.
Jeff Tambellini added an insurance goal and Blake Comeau finished the scoring with an empty-netter. Comeau was named the game's top star and Tambellini, who had two points, earned second star accolades. Hartford's Brandon Dubinsky scored twice and earned the third star award.
Sound Tigers' goaltender Wade Dubielewicz kicked aside 30 shots for his second win. Hartford's Steve Valiquette, a former Sound Tiger, stopped 28. Bridgeport went 2 for 9 on the power play and killed eight of nine Hartford man advangtes.
