Adirondack Phantoms News Release

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms and SPORTSRADIO 610 WIP announced today that the two entities will once again team up to bring Phantoms hockey action to the Internet during the 2006-07 season. Nearly half of the Phantoms regular season schedule will be aired live on www.610wip.com.

The slate of 39 games, 21 of which are road contests, will begin on Friday, October 20 when the Phantoms visit the Norfolk Admirals at 7:15 pm. Mike Thornton will again provide the play-by-play for all Internet audio stream broadcasts.

This will mark the second consecutive season that Phantoms games will be broadcast on the station's web stream. WIP also holds the exclusive broadcast rights for the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers.

"We are very excited to pair up with such a prestigious Philadelphia radio station for the second year in a row," said Frank Miceli, Phantoms Chief Operating Officer. "We are once again excited for the opportunity to bring Phantoms hockey to the fans in Philadelphia, as well as around the world."

WIP Program Director Tom Lee echoed those sentiments. "WIP found Phantoms hockey to be a valuable addition to the content available on our audio stream. The Phantoms are an exciting team and we look forward to continuing our great relationship with them."

The Phantoms next home game is this Sunday, Oct. 15 at 7:05 pm against the Binghamton Senators at the Wachovia Center. As always, kids tickets are only $8. Individual tickets are on sale now at phantomshockey.com or by calling 800-298-4200.
