
Monarchs Sign Kemp To Tryout

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed defenseman T.J. Kemp to a professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Kemp, 25, appeared in 60 games with the ECHL's Reading Royals during the 2005-06 season, collecting 40 points (13-27=40) and 54 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 197-pound native of Pickering, Ontario, also appeared in 14 AHL games and recorded four penalty minutes with the Peoria Rivermen, Iowa Stars, Milwaukee Admirals and Bridgeport Sound Tigers last season. Kemp was slated to start the season in Reading before getting the call from Manchester.
The Monarchs host the Providence Bruins at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Saturday, October 14.
