ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears (8-5-1-3), proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and the AHL's Toronto Marlies, fell to the South Carolina Stingrays (10-6-1-1) in a tightly contested 2-1 match in front of a crowd of 6,062 on Saturday night at the Amway Center.
The Stingrays opened the scoring in the first period when Paul Rodrigues beat Rob Madore at 19:29 with a wrist shot from the slot.
