Sixsmith Joins Utah In Phoenix; Sgroi Debuts Tonight

Phoenix, Arizona - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that forward James Sixsmith has been returned to the team from the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He will be in the lineup tonight when Utah visits Phoenix at 7:05 p.m.

The Grizzlies are proud to be the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport.

Prior to his promotion, the Virginia native, led the Grizzlies in scoring in December with five goals and nine assists for 14 points in 10 games. Overall this season with Utah, the third-year pro has 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points in 28 games.

Sixsmith was recalled to Bridgeport on December 30 and played in 12 games with the Sound Tigers scoring one goal.

In addition, Colley also announced that veteran forward Mike Sgroi joined the Grizzlies for practice Thursday and will make his Utah debut tonight in Phoenix. The former Utah AHL'er was acquired from Johnstown Saturday for future considerations.

Utah returns home Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to host Phoenix with all three games starting at 7:05 p.m.
