Flames Assign Lalande, Springfield Sends Goalie Glenn Fisher

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that goalie Kevin Lalande has been assigned to Las Vegas by the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League (AHL). The team also announced that goalie Glenn Fisher has been loaned to Las Vegas by the Springfield Falcons (AHL).

Lalande returns to Las Vegas after playing Thursday night in Houston for Quad City. Lalande made 24 saves for the first AHL shutout of his career. Quad City reassigned Lalande on Friday morning. In 17 games with Las Vegas, Lalande posted a 6-7-2 record with a 2.37 goals against average and a .924 save percentage.

As a rookie goalie in 2007-08, Lalande posted a 17-5-4 mark in 27 appearances with Las Vegas. The Kingston, ON native also set a team high with a 2.05 goals against average and a .932 save percentage. Lalande led Las Vegas to the 2008 Kelly Cup Finals last June. In 20 playoff games, the 21-year old went 13-6-1 with a 2.52 goals against average and a .908 save percentage. Lalande had three shutouts in the playoffs, including two in the Kelly Cup Finals against Cincinnati. Last season, Lalande made seven appearances for Quad City, going 2-3-0 with a 3.34 goals against average and a .888 save percentage.

The Calgary Flames drafted Lalande in the fifth round (#128 overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to turning pro, Lalande posted a 67-46-12 record in Belleville. Lalande had a 3.02 goals against average and a .916 save percentage in four years with the Bulls.

Glenn Fisher is in his second year of professional hockey, splitting time between the Stockton Thunder (ECHL) and the Springfield Falcons (AHL). In three games with Stockton, Fisher posted a 2-0-1 record with a 2.64 goals against average and a .895 save percentage. Fisher also played in three games with Springfield, going 0-1-0 with a 3.00 goals against average. The Edmont, AB native spent his rookie season in Stockton. In 38 appearances with the Thunder in 2007-08, Fisher posted a 14-19-2 record with a 3.36 goals against average and a .903 save percentage. The Edmonton Oilers (NHL) drafted Fisher in the fifth round (#148 overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The Wranglers host "Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich Prison Uniform Night" tonight against Bakersfield at 7:30 PM. The Condors will stay in town to play at 7:30 PM on Saturday and on Monday.
