PREVIEW: The Shorebirds used a three-run seventh inning and great pitching to win their sixth straight game last night. The 'Birds go for win number seven in a row in game four against Savannah. The Shorebirds have already earned their third series win of the season. Their last seven-game win streak was from May 20 through May 26 of 2009.

BULLPEN COMING ALONG: The Shorebirds bullpen has been very good over the last three games. Over the last ten bullpen innings, they have allowed just four hits and three runs. Last night, Clay Schrader became the ninth different pitcher to earn a win by striking out five of the seven batters he faced.

LAST TO GO 3 STRAIGHT: Manny Machado became the first Shorebirds player to hit a home run in three straight games since Joe Nowicki did it in 2008. Nowicki hit homers on May 26, 27 & 28. Brandon Tripp also hit homers in three straight games back in 2007.

QUITE THE SERIES: In three games against Savannah, Machado has six hits, four runs, three home runs and six RBIs. His batting average has jumped from .276 to .314.

PALSHA: Reliever Ryan Palsha is the only Shorebirds pitcher that has not allowed a homer.

EARLY RUNS: The Shorebirds have scored 55 of their 114 runs this season in the first three innings of games (49.5 percent).

A CHANGING PARK': In 11 games at Perdue Stadium this season, there have been 23 home runs hit between the Shorebirds (9) and the opposition (14). Through three games in the current series, there have already been 11 home runs hit. In 71 home games last season, there were 70 home runs hit between the Shorebirds and their opponents.
