POWER REPLAY: West Virginia and Hagerstown Wednesday night game was suspended due to rain in the bottom of the second inning. The game will be resumed at 6:05 pm tonight and will be played out to a full nine innings. The Power will hold a 7-1 lead when action picks up, have two runners on base, and have one out on the board. After Wednesday's game concludes, the teams will play the regularly scheduled game. This nightcap, however, will only be of the seven inning variety.

ALL SYSTEMS WERE A GO: The Pittsburgh Pirates added Jameson Tallion to the West Virginia roster Wednesday and made his professional debut last night. Tallion pitchedtwo innings and allowed a run on three hits and two walks. Tallion was selected second overall by the Pirates during the 2010 draft, just behind the Suns (a Washington affiliate) Bryce Harper. Tallion signed at the deadline last August and did not pitch until the fall instructional league.

SOMEWHAT SUNNY HISTORY: West Virginia leads the all-time series with Hagerstown by two wins after Tuesday's win. The Power have the edge in their own yard during this series, going 22-16 since 2005 at Appalachian Power Park against the Suns, including a 4-4 mark at home last year.

HARPERSTOWN SUNS: The Hagerstown Suns continue their series in Charleston tonight. Hagerstown's roster features the Washington Nationals top prospect Bryce Harper, the first overall selection during the 2010 draft. The gates at Appalachian Power Park will open early today and Friday, April 29 so fans can watch both teams take batting practice. Members of the media will only be granted access to Harper after games that he has factored in.

A NUMBERS GAME: Rogelio Noris will now wear number 35, as he did during the entire 2010 season with West Virginia. Noris had worn number 48 from Opening Day until Monday.

ROSTER ROULETTE: To clear room on the active roster for Jameson Tallion, the Pittsburgh Pirates have transferred Brooks Pounders to extended spring training. Pounders appeared in five games for the Power, going 2-0 with a 2.70 earned run average.

STREAK SNAPPED: West Virginia's win Tuesday stopped the Power's six game losing streak. West Virginia had three six-game slides during the 2010 season. The club record for consecutive losses is seven, a dubious feat accomplished five times since 2005. The Power lost their first seven games during the '05 season, and suffered another seven game run later that summer. West Virginia also saw seven game losing streaks each year from 2007 until 2009.

PINPOINT CONTROL: West Virginia pitchers have combined to walk just 36 batters this season, by far the fewest in the league. Hickory has walked a league-high 92 batters over 172 innings. Power pitchers have also walked the second the fewest batters in all of Minor League Baseball, two more than the Frederick Keys from the Carolina League.

POWER POINTS: Brandon Cumpton pitched three perfect innings of relief Monday and lowered his ERA from 17.72 to 13.83... Dan Grovatt's 13-game on -base streak was snapped Monday by going 0-3, while Matt Curry's on-base streak has reached 15 after a two hit Tuesday.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh shutout San Francisco 2-0. James MacDonald combined with four others to blank the Giants... Indianapolis edged Norfolk 7-6... Altoona outlasted Harrisburg 6-5 in 11 innings... Bradenton allowed five runs in the ninth in a 9-5 loss to St. Lucie.

ON THE AIR: All 140 West Virginia Power games can be heard on ESPN 104.5 FM and 1490 AM in Charleston, WV, across the state on the Power Radio Network, and online at milb.com. Adam Marco will call the action for each of the 70 home games this season, while the home team will provide coverage while the Power are on the road.
