Helped out by a K-Wings turnover 8:38 into period, Justin Bowers (7th) right-circle wrister extended the Road Warriors advantage to 2-0.

Cutting the deficit in half less than two minutes later, Brandon Svendsen extended his points streak to three games by tying the team-lead for goals scored, notching his 12th of the season, off of an Elgin Reid rebound. Just 40 seconds later, at the 6:18 mark, Trent Daavettila (5th) scored on the second half of the man-advantage to put the K-Wings ahead 4-2.

After Svendsen passed the puck behind the net to Darren Archibald, the forward snapped a pass to Justin Taylor for his team-leading 13th goal of the campaign. The goal extended the point streak of Taylor to four games, while giving Svendsen a three-point night (1 goal, 2 assists).

During Svendsen's three-game point streak, the forward has earned seven points (2 goals, 5 assists).

Stopping the bleeding late in the second period, Brett Robinson (10th) scored on a five-on-three power-play to bring the Road Warriors back to within two goals.

Early in the third period another man-advantage tally from Greenville was added by Marc-Oliver Vallerand (17th), which made the score 5-4 in favor of Kalamazoo.
