Sean Dolan Heads to AHL

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that forward Sean Dolan has been called up to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.

Dolan, 23, is tied for 12th among ECHL rookies with 20 points (7g, 13a) in 32 games with the Stingrays this season and tied for first among first-year players with five power-play goals. The St. Louis, Missouri, native joined the Stingrays late last season after completing his senior year at the University of Wisconsin. While with the Badgers, Dolan totaled 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points in 143 games and served as team captain in his final campaign. Before jumping to the NCAA ranks, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward skated for three seasons in the USHL with the Indiana Ice, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Chicago Steel grabbing 58 points (32g, 26a) in 157 games.

The Stingrays kickoff a seven-game road trip tonight, Friday, January 6 against the Elmira Jackals at 7:35 p.m. at First Arena and return to the North Charleston Coliseum Friday, January 20 against the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:05 p.m. for Dog Days of Winter featuring a Super Weiner Dog Race!
