TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Two days after winning their sixth-straight game, the Cyclones will hit the road tonight for a three-game weekend trek through the Atlantic Division beginning with a matchup against the Wheeling Nailers. Tonight's tilt will feature the top two defensive units in the Eastern Conference; the Cyclones have allowed a 80 goals this year while the Nailers have surrendered 83 coming into the night. Since 2006, the Clones have compiled a 35-29-0-1 record against Wheeling and an 18-14-0 mark at WesBanco Arena. Cincinnati is in search of their first seven-game winning streak since February of 2010.

SCOUTING THE NAILERS: Losers of two straight games, Wheeling has slipped back into second place in the Atlantic Division standings. Despite a strong defensive team, the Nailers are just 7-6-1 at home this season with only 45 goals-scored (7th-fewest in the ECHL). First-year forward Chris Barton ranks 11th in the ECHL in overall scoring (28 points) and is third among rookies. Patrick Killeen has been Wheeling's go-to-guy between the pipes, earning a 10-8-1-1 record with a 2.86 goals-against average. Last season, Killeen went 3-2 against the Cyclones.

About Wednesday Night vs. Greenville: Joel Champagne enjoyed a three point night while three others had two point games as the Cyclones cruised past the Road Warriors by a 6-3 final score in front of 3,030 at U.S. Bank Arena. It once again extended Cincinnati's winning streak to six games.

Goin' Streaking: With another victory on Wednesday, the Cyclones have now won six consecutive games. It is tied for the longest active winning streak in the ECHL and is the fourth-longest streak since the Cyclones returned to league-play in 2006.

Award-Worthy: Cincinnati forward Anthony Luciani wrapped up another solid month for the Cyclones. He posted 4 goals and 7 assists in 8 games with a pair of game-winning goals. Yesterday, he was recognized for his efforts by being named ECHL Rookie of the Month. He currently ranks sixth among all first-year players in overall scoring (23 points) and leads all rookies with five power play goals.

Cranking Up the Offense: As Jarrod Skalde's team approaches the season's halfway point, they are still among the league's top offensive teams. Through 26 games they are averaging 3.46 goal-scored per game, which ranks tied for third-most in the ECHL.
