Second Annual Hockey-Thon This Weekend

Monday, December 26 : The Condors are celebrating the Canadian tradition of Boxing Day! The team returns to home ice and fans are encouraged to box up their older items and bring them to the arena for donation to Goodwill Industries. The 26th also marks the second Condors Kids Club game of the season. Members of Condors Kids will receive free admission to the game when presenting their membership card to the box office. All fans in attendance will receive a free Condors holiday poster courtesy of UPN-45 and Rio Bravo Country Club.

Monday, December 26 : The Bakersfield Condors assisted KGFM 101.5 with granting Christmas wishes to two listeners who wished for Condors jerseys. The Condors completed their wish by adding tickets to tonight's game where a radio personality will present the two fans their jerseys.

Tuesday, December 27 : Former Condor and organizer of the 2nd Annual Condors Fighting Cancer Hockey-thon Kevin Barrett will be a guest on the News at Sunrise morning show on KGET-TV 17. Barrett will be discussing the event set to take place December 30th -31st that will raise money for the Link to Life Breast Cancer Research Center.

Thursday, December 29 : Experience the Condors Coach's Show live from 6-7pm at the Q Street Lounge inside the Holiday Inn Select or tune in to KGEO AM 1230 to listen to the broadcast. Condors Director of Media Relations Devin Rossiter and Head Coach Marty Raymond will be joined by Condors players for the weekly broadcast.

Friday, December 30 : Condors fans are invited to stay after the game this Friday as national Christian recording artist Paul Wrightwill perform live in concert. Admission is free with a game ticket.

Friday, December 30 - Saturday, December 31 : The 2nd Annual Condors Fighting Cancer Hockey-Thon, benefiting the Link to Life Breast Cancer Research Center begins with the Condors home game Friday at 7pm. Hockey players of all levels and ages are invited to participate in the 27 hour event, and of course Bakersfield's best fans are needed to cheer the teams on. The event begins with the Condors home game on Friday night and then moves to the Bakersfield Sports Ice Center until 4pm Saturday. At 4:45pm the doors open at the Rabobank Arena for the Condors Legends game, featuring former Condors favorites Paul Rosebush, Kevin Barrett, Steve Dowhy, Glen Mears and several others as well as local media and celebrities. A ticket to the Condors game that night is required to attend the Condors Legends game. The specialty game-worn jerseys will be available for purchase with a combination of silent and live auctions throughout the evening. The Bakersfield Condors would like to thank the generous proprietor who donated Christmas trees to the less fortunate last week. Several families picked- up holiday evergreens from the Condors office last Thursday.
