Gajic Assigned to Gwinnett from AHL Providence

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Milan Gajic was assigned to the Gladiators from the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

A rookie out of the University of Michigan, Gajic was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 4th round, #112 overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Under contract to the Bruins, Gajic has appeared in 13 AHL games this season with Providence posting a point and 6 penalty minutes.

The Burnaby, British Columbia native played four seasons of college hockey at the University of Michigan posting 115 points (53g, 62a) and 148 PIM in 158 career collegiate games.

Gajic finished third in the team's scoring race last season with 39 points (20g, 19a) while being named Michigan's Most Improved Player for the 2004-05 season.

Gajic will be available for the Gladiators for tonight's 7:05 p.m. contest in Columbia against the Inferno.
