Titans defeated in only game before break

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans could not gain any ground on the division leaders as they fell, 4-1, to the Wheeling Nailers in their only game this week.

In Wednesday's game, the Titans were able to hold the dynamic tandem of Kurtis McLean and Sean Collins scoreless, but the Nailers were still able to score the first four goals of the contest with contributions from Mike Doyle, Jordan Cameron, Bo Cheesman and Bill Downey. Ned Havern tallied the lone goal for the Titans to foil Andy Franck's shutout bid.

Trenton comes back from the holiday break with road games against the Toledo Storm on Tuesday, December 27 and the Dayton Bombers on Wednesday, December 28. The Titans will come home to host the Johnstown Chiefs on Friday, December 30 before spending New Year's Eve with the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday, December 31.

- Just the second game this season versus the Storm. In their first meeting Trenton fell to Toledo 4-1 at Toledo Sports Arena on November 12. The Storm are 3rd in the ECHL averaging 30.8 penalty minutes per game. The Titans 20-5-1 in the all-time series against the Storm.

Wednesday, December 28 @ Dayton, 7:00pm (WBCB 1490AM) Nutter Center
- The sixth game out of twelve against Dayton. The Titans are 4-1 versus the Bombers this season with all of Trenton's victories decided by one-goal. Dayton is winless in their last seven games (0-5-2).

Friday, December 30 vs. Johnstown, 7:30pm (91.3 FM WTSR) Sovereign Bank Arena
- Trenton faces off against Johnstown for the seventh time in '05-'06. The Titans won the first four contests this season, but have lost to the Chiefs in the last two, both at Cambria County War Memorial. Johnstown is 9-6-3 since starting the season 0-6-4.

Saturday, December 31 @ Wheeling, 7:00pm (91.3 FM WTSR; WBCB 1490AM) WesBanco Arena
- The fifth meeting between the Titans and Nailers. The Titans suffered their first regulation loss to the Nailers this season, 4-1, on December 21. Kurtis McLean and Sean Collins lead all rookies and the rank 3rd in the ECHL with 33 points each.
