
Las Vegas Takes First Place in West Division

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a perfect 2-0-0 record last week with both victories over Long Beach. Monday night, Las Vegas defeated the Ice Dogs 5-2 in a shootout at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers also beat Long Beach on the road, 2-1 on Wednesday night.
This week the Wranglers will play six games in seven days, starting on Monday, December 26th at 7:00 pm in Bakersfield. Tuesday, December 27th, Las Vegas will host San Diego at 7:05pm. This Wednesday, Las Vegas will play in Long Beach at 7:00 pm. The Wranglers will return home to host the Utah Grizzlies on Friday night at 7:05 pm. Saturday and Sunday at 6:05 pm (PST) Las Vegas will be at the E-Center in Utah.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Long Beach Ice Dogs 5-4 in a shootout in front of 4,958 fans at Midnight on Monday. Wranglers' forwards Matt Dzieduszycki and Dan Tudin each had a goal and an assist in the win. Goaltender Marc Magliarditi made 28 saves, including three of five shooters in the shootout, pushing his record to 12-4-1 on the season. Right wing Thomas Bellemare and center Chris Stanley also scored as Las Vegas improved to 11-0-1 at home and 12-0-1 in their last 13 games played. Captain Mike McBain registered two assists as the Wranglers extended their team-record winning streak to eight games.

Long Beach, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Long Beach Ice Dogs 2-1 at the Long Beach Arena on Wednesday night. Forwards Matt Dzieduszycki and Nick Anderson each scored as the Wranglers won their team record ninth game in a row, including their team-record seventh straight on the road. Rookie goalie Mike McKenna continues to remain unbeaten in regulation this season, making 26 saves and improving to 8-0-1 on the season. With the victory, Las Vegas claimed first place in the West Division and the highest point total in the ECHL with 42 points, passing the Alaska Aces.

Bakersfield Condors - (9-9-4, 22 Points) - The Wranglers meet the Condors for the fourth time this season posting a 2-0-1 record against Bakersfield this season. Las Vegas leads the all-time series with a 16-5-1 mark. The Condors are 6-0-3 at home this year. Left wing Kevin St. Jacques leads the team in scoring with 16 points (10G-6A) in 21 games played.
San Diego Gulls - (11-9-4, 26 Points) - The Wranglers meet the Gulls for the first time this season. San Diego is 12-4-2 against Las Vegas all time. San Diego is 5-6-1 on the road this year and 6-2-2 in their last 10 games played. San Diego's Alex Kim has 16 points (8G-8A) in his last 10 games played.
Long Beach Ice Dogs - (13-12-3, 29 Points) - The Wranglers took two games from the Ice Dogs last week. Long Beach is 5-7-1 at home this season. Leading scorer Christian Larivee has 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points in 28 games played.
Utah Grizzlies - (16-9-2, 34 Points) - The Wranglers beat the Grizzlies in the only other meeting of the season between the two teams. Utah is 5-3-2 in their last 10 games and 8-6-1 on the road this year. The Grizzlies are 8-3-1 at the E-Center this season.
Las Vegas Streaking to New Records -
Las Vegas is currently riding the most successful wave in team history. The team's current 14-0-1 unbeaten in regulation streak is the longest in team history. The team is 11-0-1 at home so far this season, two games shy of tying the mark set during the team's inaugural season at 13-0-1. Goalie Mike McKenna's unbeaten in regulation streak of 8-0-1 is two games shy of tying Marc Magliarditi's mark of 9-0-2 during the 2003-04 season. The team's nine-game winning streak is the longest in team history. The team also has a new team-record with eight straight road wins.

The Wranglers will host San Diego on Tuesday at 7:05 pm. Friday night the first 2,500 fans receive a Duke Windup Toy, compliments of Cox Communications, as Las Vegas host Utah at 7:05 pm.
