Saturday, December 31st @ South Carolina - 6:00 pm

Augusta and South Carolina finish the 2005 calendar year with a home-and-home series, beginning Friday in Augusta. This year, the Lynx have taken three out of four games in the season series against the Stingrays while outscoring the Stingrays by just 13-10 through the four games. Brian Passmore (2-2-4) and Dan Sullivan (1-3-4) lead Augusta in scoring for the series. The Lynx have had three different goaltenders post wins over the Stingrays this year. South Carolina, meanwhile, does not have a player with more than two points against Augusta all season.

Week In Review

Tuesday, December 20 - Augusta 4 vs. Gwinnett 3

Avenging a 7-1 drubbing last time the two teams faced a week prior, the Lynx rallied for a 4-3 regulation win against arch-nemesis Gwinnett. Anthony Battaglia set up the game tying goal off the stick of Ken Scuderi, his first as a pro, to begin the third period. Battaglia then fought his way through the Gwinnett defense just minutes later, flipping a backhand past Adam Berkhoel for the game-winning goal. The Lynx fell behind 2-0 in the first period before rallying to tie the game at 2-2 on goals by Joel Stepp and Brian Passmore by the end of the first period. Jason Wolfe stopped 33 shots for the win.

Thursday, December 22nd - Augusta 2 @ Charlotte 3

In Augusta's first visit to the Charlotte Bobcats Arena, the club fell behind 3-0 by the 3:13 mark of the second period, but narrowed the gap to 3-2 on goals by BJ Gaustad and Dan Sullivan after 40 minutes of play. Despite pressing a late man-advantage and pulling goaltender Jason Wolfe (18 saves) for an extra attacker late, the Lynx could not tie the game.

'Atta Boy, Langer!

Lynx captain Ryan Lang received a one-game recall to the American Hockey League's Portland Pirates on Friday, appearing in a game that night against the Manchester Monarchs. Lang did not record any points or PIMs in the contest and registered an even rating. Manchester won the game 3-2 in a shootout.

Post-Game Party At The Patch This Tuesday!

The Augusta Lynx will return to the Cotton Patch Restaurant this Tuesday night for a Post-Game Party At The Patch! Following Tuesday's contest against Florida, the team will head over with fans for a great meal in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. Post-Game Parties At The Patch take place at The Cotton Patch Restaurant, 816 Cotton Lane, following every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday home game all season long!
