The Skinny: This is the third meeting of the season between these two teams. The Stingrays have a record of 1-1 against the Gladiators this season. The is the first trip to Gwinnett this season for the Rays. The Gladiators have a record of 13-6-4 this season.

Friday, December 30th - 7:05

Radio -6:50 PM on 1450 AM

The Skinny: The Stingrays will be looking to avenge a 5-2 loss at the hands of the Lynx on home Ice. Augusta is tied for the Rays for the sixth and final playoff spot in the South, with a record of 12-14-2. The Stingrays are 1-2-1 against the Lynx this season.

Saturday, December 31st - 6:00

Radio -5:45 PM on 910 AM

The Skinny: Second half of a home and home series between the Stingrays and the Lynx. Augusta has a record of 3-1 against the Stingrays this season.

At the Rink: Special 6:00 start time. The Stingrays will wear Tuxedo Jerseys and hold an auction. Fans can get in for $8.00 with a Tuxedo on.

Sunday, January 1st - 6:00

The Skinny: The Stingrays have owned Greenville this season with a record of 3-0-1 against the Grrrowl. Greenville is in fifth place in the South Division with a record of 13-9-1.

Rays Beat Columbia At Home

Four Game Week Ahead

South Carolina played just one game this week and managed a win on Wednesday night, 4-3 against the Columbia Inferno. The Rays now have a record of 10-11-6 on the season which has them in a tie for sixth place in the South Division.

Maxime Daigneault is 6-1-1 with a goals against average of 2.65 in his last eight times out. Brad Parsons has a goal and nine assists in his last nine games for ten points, while Matt Reid has four goals and five assists for nine points in his last ten games.

South Carolina's power play continues to be one of the most potent units in the league. The Rays have a power play which clicks at 22.7% and is ranked fifth in the ECHL. The team's penalty kill continues to improve and is now 22nd in the league at 79.3%.

Jonas Johansson has made his presence felt with five goals and three assists in five games this season with the Stingrays.

The Stingrays have three games remaining in December with one coming at home and two on the road. South Carolina is 7-6-3 at home and 3-5-3 on the road this year.

Wednesday, December 21st

Stingrays 4 Vs Columbia 3

The South Carolina Stingrays bounced back from a tough loss against the Augusta Lynx with a quality home win against the Columbia Inferno. The Stingrays took advantage of a game winning goal by Jonas Johansson to close to within a game of .500 on the season.

MacLean Expected Back Tomorrow

The Stingrays expect to get a big boost tomorrow night in Gwinnett with the return of veteran forward Cail MacLean to the lineup. MacLean has missed the last 25 games due to a deep thigh bruise that required emergency surgery. He had two goals in two games with the Rays before the injury.

Rays Grab Soucy

The South Carolina Stingrays announced last week that the team acquired forward Dominic Soucy from the Stockton Thunder for an unspecified amount of cash. Soucy is expected to be in the lineup when the Stingrays travel to Gwinnett to face the Gladiators tomorrow. The Stingrays are home tonight against the Columbia Inferno.

Soucy had one goal in 14 games with the Thunder this season. The rookie played the last two seasons with The Prince Edward Island Rock of the QMJHL. The 6'4-225 lb winger had 17 goals in each of his last two seasons as a Junior.
