Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a two-game skid as they take on the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) in the middle game of a three-game series at Prince George's Stadium. Last night, the Baysox jumped ahead with a 5-0 lead after three innings and they held on to beat Erie 6-2 in the series opener. The âWolves are 2-9 in their last 11 road games and are tied for the worst road record in the Western Division at 5-12. Erie has dropped four of its first five games in Bowie and the club has yet to win a road series in 2011...Righty Jacob Turner takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his eighth start and first against Bowie. Turner took a no-decision in his last start at Altoona. In the game, he allowed two runs on five hits with a walk and four strikeouts in equaling a season-high seven innings pitched. Turner left the game with a 5-2 lead but the bullpen could not hold on as the âWolves fell 6-5...Lefty Brian Matusz takes the mound for Bowie making a rehab appearance. Matusz pitched with Bowie in 2009 and made eight starts, posting a 7-0 mark and 1.55 ERA. He did not make a start against the SeaWolves that season. Matuz made one rehab start with Class-A Frederick and took a no-decision going four innings, allowing a run on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Matusz was the Orioles first round selection in the 2008 June draft.
- Bowie leads the 2011 season series over the SeaWolves 7-4. The SeaWolves and Baysox meet 21 times in 2011.
- Defensively, the SeaWolves have committed 40 errors which is fourth-most in the EL. The SeaWolves have not committed an error in five of their last eight games.
