
RHP Mitch Atkins to Norfolk; LHP Rick Zagone to Bowie

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce a pair of roster moves today. RHP Mitch Atkins was transferred to class Triple-A Norfolk and LHP Rick Zagone was transferred to Bowie from class Single-A Frederick. With the moves, the Baysox have 23 active players on their 24-man roster.

Atkins made four starts for Bowie, going 1-2 with a 3.38 ERA and allowing 11 walks and 19 strikeouts in 26.2 innings pitched.
Zagone returns to Bowie after making two starts with class-A Frederick, where he went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA. Zagone gave up four hits and struck out eight while walking five. In six appearances with Bowie, Zagone is 1-2 with a 5.76 ERA.
