Harrisburg Senators News Release

On Saturday afternoon in Binghamton, Brad Peacock was outstanding again leading the Senators to a 7-2 win over Binghamton. Peacock pitched six innings and struck out ten and earned his sixth win on the season. It was the second straight game that he struck out at least 10 hitters.

Josh Johnson and Devin Ivany both hit their first home runs on the season. Ivany drove in two and Chris Rahl also drove in two. The Sens were helped out by the Binghamton defense, which committed six errors in the game, a season high for a Senators opponent.

With the win, the Senators evened their record at 19-19 while the B-Mets fell to 13-25.

Peacock allowed just one hit, a home run off the bat of Allen Dykstra in the second inning. The Senators scored single runs in the first, second, fourth, sixth, and seventh innings and a two spot in the fifth. The win is the second straight for the Sens.

The final game of the two-game series is Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. with RH Tanner Roark on the mound. The game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website, and on your ipad or iphone beginning at 12:50 p.m.
