TONIGHT: The Binghamton Rumble Ponies open up a three-game series against the Harrisburg Senators tonight at FNB Field. The Ponies swept the Senators in their first meeting in Harrisburg May 7th through the 9th.

TOUGH WEEKEND FO R THE PONIES: The Rumble Ponies are coming off being swept for the first time this season, and it came at home against the team with the worst record in the Eastern League, the Portland Sea Dogs.. The Ponies have tied their season-high with a three-game losing streak.

GUT-WRENCHING LOSSES; The Ponies had leads in both Saturday and Sunday's first games of scheduled doubleheaders. On Saturday, Binghamton held a 7-5 lead and the Sea Dogs came back to win 8-7. On Sunday, Binghamton was up 5-4 in the seventh, but the Sea Dogs scored two in the seventh to pull out the 6-5 win. On Friday, the Ponies suffered their most lopsided loss of the year falling 20-2 to Portland.

EAST VS. WEST: The Rumble Ponies are 18-4 against the Western Division but only 12-17 against the East.,

UNCOOPERATIVE WEATHER: The Rumble Ponies were scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday...but Game 2 was rained out. The DH was rescheduled for Sunday, but Game 2 was also rained out for a second straight day.

PETERSON BACK IN HARRISBURG : Tonight's Ponies starter LHP David Peterson is facing the Senators for a second straight time. Peterson in his first start at FNB Field allowed three hits and one run over five getting the no-decision as the Ponies went on to the 5-3 win in 11 to sweep the series.

TWO VERY DIFFERENT TEAMS: The Senators are second in the Eastern League in home runs going deep 47 times while the Rumble Ponies are last with 32. The Ponies though have 47 stolen bases on the year (5th in the EL) while the Senators have just stolen twenty bases all year, last in the EL.

LEE ENJOYS CITY ISLAND: Ponies center fielder Braxton Lee returned from Triple-A Syracuse on 5/29...in his first series at City Island Lee hit .333 (5-15) with two runs scored and four RBI. Lee is currently hitting .296 with 1 homer and 19 RBI with the Ponies.

MLB DRAFT: The Mets selected third-basemen Brett Baty out of Lake Travis High School (TX) with the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft last night.

COMING UP: The Rumble Ponies continue their series against the Senators on Wednesday and Thursday evening. They then head to Portland for a three-game series beginning Friday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park.
