Royals Training Camp Schedule Set

(READING, PA) – The Reading Royals training camp has been set. The Royals will begin their two-week training camp Monday, Sept. 30 in the Sovereign Center. The camp is highlighted by two pre-season contests with the Trenton Titans -- Oct. 3 in Trenton in the Sovereign Bank Arena and Oct. 5 in Reading in the Sovereign Center.

Training camp tryout players include: Left Wing Jan Jas; Centers Kristoffer Lidbrandt and Martin Vagenknect; Defensemen Nathan Elliott, Andrey Savchenko, and Eric Lawson; and Goaltender Terry Craven.

Training camp invitees include: Left Wing Larry Courville; Right Wings Alex Zinevych and Ryan Carter; and Defenseman Jonathan Lessard.

Training Camp tryout players from Knoxville Ice Bears (ACHL) are: Goaltender Paolo Della Bella; Defenseman Dwight Wolfe; Left Wing Steve Zoryk; and Center Todd MacIssac.

The Royals have released Forward Lorne Toews and Right Wing Matt Erredge, and have traded rights to Center Bryan Forslund to the Jackson Bandits for future considerations.

Individual game tickets are still available for the Royals lone pre-season game Saturday Oct. 5 at 7:05 p.m. in the Sovereign Center. The Royals regular 2002 season gets under way against the Wheeling Nailers Friday, Oct. 11 at 7:05 p.m. in the Sovereign Center.
