
IceGators' new website to launch Friday

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators will launch a brand new www.icegators.com Friday, the team announced Wednesday. The site is being designed and hosted by the eSports Group, which will also launch the new www.echl.com in the coming weeks. The exact time of launch is not known, but the site will be up as soon as the official transfer to the new site occurs.
"It is my pleasure to announce to our fans that they will get to see a brand new icegators.com this season," said IceGators general manager and vice president of business operations Tracey Girouard. "I have seen the new design, and it will rank among the top in the sports industry."
"We are excited about our relationship with the IceGators," said CW Conner, chairman/CEO of eSports Group. "This is a great opportunity to showcase the team and the IceGators' brand while also giving the fans in Louisiana a site which they can show their support through."
Some highlights that IceGators fans can expect are up-to-the minute statistics and roster information, photo galleries, screen savers and interactive fan polls. Special fan and kid zones will also be available. IceGators director of media and community relations Ryan Stanzel will be able to update the site daily and even hourly from the team's offices and press row.
eSports Group, Inc. (www.esportsgroup.com) is located in College Station, Texas, with graphics and production teams based in Chicago, Ill. and Houston. The company was developed to devote its full efforts to the sports industry in software development and web design. esports group handles dozens of websites nationally, including the Orlando Predators, a publicly traded company that owns the IceGators.
