Bombers Single Game Tickets on Sale October 1

The 2002 Northern Conference Playoff Champion Dayton Bombers Professional Hockey Team has announced that single game tickets for its 2002-2003 regular season will be on sale beginning this coming Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 10:00 a.m.

The Bombers 2002-2003 home schedule sways heavily toward weekend competition, with 34 of 36 dates earmarked for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The Dayton Bombers will continue their intense rivalry against their I-75 rivals, the Cincinnati Cyclones, in the form of 11 head-to-head meetings, six at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. The Bombers will also welcome another nearby contender, the new Lexington ECHL franchise that is set to begin play in October. The Bombers will compete against the Lexington team a total of ten times, six at the Ervin J. Nutter Center.

Other highlights of the Dayton Bombers 2002-2003 schedule include ten meetings against the Toledo Storm (coached by onetime Bombers bench boss Claude Noel), nine meetings apiece against Northwest Division foes Peoria and Johnstown, five against the Bombers' 2002 Northern Conference Playoff Championship opponent Atlantic City, and four meetings against two-time Northeast Division regular season titlist Trenton.

Box office prices for Dayton Bombers' 2002-2003 single game tickets are as follows: $15.50 for Gold Seats, $10.50 for Silver Seats, $9.50 for Military, Students, and Seniors, and $8.50 for those fans 12 and under.

The Bombers, who will be conducting a "Town Hall Meeting" open to fans, season ticketholders, and corporate partners/local businesspeople on Wednesday, October 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the Nutter Center Berry Room, signed center Fred Slukynsky and winger Andrew Williamson to contracts yesterday.

The team will begin its 2002-2003 season playing at the Nutter Center on Friday, October 11 (7:30 p.m) against the Johnstown Chiefs. The Bombers will be unveiling their 2002 Northern Conference Playoff Championship and 2002 Northwest Division Title banners at a pre-game ceremony on that date. Training camp for the Dayton Bombers begins on Sunday, September 29, with a free admission, open-to-the-public, "Kids' Exhibition Game" scheduled against the Toledo Storm at the Nutter Center on Wednesday, October 2 at 10:30 a.m.
