LAST WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS vs. Worcester (11/7): Wing Scott Barney's goal with 2:43 remaining allowed the Monarchs to salvage a 1-1 tie at Worcester against the Worcester IceCats on Friday night. Wing John Tripp and defenseman Joe Rullier assisted on Barney's goal. Goaltender Adam Hauser finished the game with 20 saves and stretched his personal shutout streak to 160:38 before surrendering a score 38 seconds into the third period. Hauser's shutout streak was the third longest in team history. vs. Portland (11/8): Center Michael Cammalleri had two goals and one assist, and wing John Tripp had one goal and two assists as the Monarchs beat the Portland Pirates, 5-1, on Saturday night before a sellout crowd of 9,916 fans. Left wing Ryan Flinn and Steve Kelly also scored for the Monarchs, who won for the third consecutive time on home ice. Goaltender Matt Underhill collected his second straight home win, stopping 20 of the 21 shots he faced. vs. Albany (11/9): Center Yanick Lehoux had one goal and one assist and wing Scott Barney scored his sixth goal in four games as the Monarchs downed the Albany River Rats, 2-1, before a near sellout crowd of 9,687 fans. Barney's goal was his team-leading seventh. It was also his team-leading third game-winning goal of the season. Goaltender Adam Hauser improved to 3-0-1 in four starts this season with 22 saves. The win was the Monarchs fourth consecutive on home ice. Including Sunday's results, the Monarchs are 5-0-1-0 in their last six games overall.

TEAM NOTES

Goaltender Adam Hauser ran his personal shutout streak to 160:38 before surrendering a goal to the Worcester IceCats in the third period of Friday's (11/7) game at Worcester. The shutout streak was the third longest in team history. Former Monarchs goaltender Travis Scott had a streak of 179:02 without a goal lasted from December 21 through December 26, 2001.

Hauser is 3-0-1 in four starts for the Monarchs. He's allowed just two goals over 245 minutes of work (.49 goals-against-average), and he has stopped 98 of the 100 shots (.980 save-percentage) he's faced in the four games. Hauser's save-percentage ranks second best in the league behind only Hartford's Phil Osaer, who has yet to allow a goal after two starts. Hauser is also tied for the league lead with two shutouts.

Hauser has yet to experience a loss in AHL play. Including his one start with the Providence Bruins last season (a 3-3 tie against the Monarchs at the Verizon Wireless Arena on April 5, 2003), he is 3-0-2 with a 0.97 goals-against-average and a .963 save-percentage.

Wing Scott Barney, who finished second on the Monarchs with seven game-winning goals last season, leads the Monarchs with three game-winners this season. His three game-winners are also tied for the league lead. Ten of Barney's 20 career AHL goals have been game-winners. Barney's plus-9 plus/minus rating ranks second in the league.

Defenseman Joe Rullier's made his 200th AHL appearance in Saturday's game (11/8) against the Portland Pirates. Rullier, 23, selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the fifth-round (133rd overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, has logged all of his AHL appearances within the Kings system, first with Lowell (2000-01 season) and the last three seasons with the Monarchs.

Left wing Ryan Flinn needed just one game to double both his goal and penalty minute totals for the 2003-04 season. Flinn entered Saturday's action against the Portland Pirates with one goal and 28 penalty minutes in 12 games. His totals in Saturday's game included one goal and 29 penalty minutes. Flinn's overall total of 57 penalty minutes lead the Monarchs and rank fourth in the AHL.

The Monarchs victory over the Albany River Rats on Sunday (11/9) was their fourth straight on home ice. The Monarchs all-time record for longest winning streak at home is five games. The Monarchs set the all-time mark with five consecutive wins from February 10 through February 22, 2002. The Monarchs four-game home winning streak is tops in the league.

A total of 19,603 fans watched the Monarchs win twice on home ice last weekend. Saturday's crowd of 9,916 gave the Monarchs their second sellout of the season. The Monarchs lead the AHL with an average of 8,711 fans after eight home dates.

Right wing Pavel Rosa is tied for the league lead in scoring with 14 points (3-11=14). His 11 assists are also tied for the league lead. Rosa also ranks third in the league with 56 shots on goal.

Right wing John Tripp is tied for the league lead with 59 shots on goal.

Defenseman Bryan Muir leads all AHL defenseman in scoring with 13 points (5-8=13). His five goals rank first in the league and his eight assists rank third in the league.

Defenseman Richard Seeley holds a share of the league lead among defenseman with a plus-nine plus/minus average.

The Monarchs lead the AHL with 71 assists and 112 points. The Monarchs 41 goals rank second in the league.

The Monarchs 2.14 goals-against-average is fifth best in the AHL. The Hartford Wolf Pack has the best goals-against average in the league at 1.58. The Monarchs 33.07 shots per game average ranks third best in the AHL. The Houston Aeros are the league leaders with an average of 36.82 shots per game.
