Chicago Recalls Anderson, Norfolk Recalls Sanger

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals announced today that their parent club, the Chicago Blackhawks, has recalled goaltender Craig Anderson. Additionally, the Admirals have recalled goaltender Jeff Sanger from their Central Hockey League (CHL) affiliate, the Indianapolis Ice.

In 10 games for Norfolk this season, Anderson was 4-6-0 with a 2.29 goals against average and a .909 save percentage. The 22-year old netminder will join the Blackhawks who are in Detroit for a game against the Red Wings this evening.

Sanger has played in seven games for Indianapolis this year, posting a record of 4-3-0 with a 2.28 GAA, a .914 spct. and one shutout. He is coming off back-to-back wins over the defending CHL champion Memphis River Kings. The former Colorado College (WCHA) standout appeared in four AHL games for the Manchester Monarchs last season, registering a 1-1-1 record with a 3.48 GAA and a .888 spct.
