St. Croix assigned to Columbia

The Manitoba Moose announced today defenceman Chris St. Croix has been assigned to the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL.

St. Croix, 24, has played in 10 games this season with the Moose, scoring one goal and one assist. He has eight penalty minutes and eight shots on goal.

Last year, the Winnipeg native played in ten games with the Moose, collecting 12 PIM. He also played in 56 games with the Inferno where he scored 13 goals, 36 assists, for 49 points to go along with 101 PIM. In 17 playoff games last year with the Inferno, he scored one goal, eight points, as well as chalking up 24 PIM. He was also named Sher-Wood ECHL Player of the Month for February.

St. Croix was originally the Calgary Flames' seventh choice, 92nd overall, in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
