the former Boston College Eagle was batting .291 (66-for-227) versus righties and .241 (14-for-58) versus lefties with Harrisburg prior to his call-up...Alu has now hit 10 of his 11 homers in the minor leagues this year against righties...the 25-year-old was 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk versus righties in today's contest.
TRIPLE DOUBLE: RF Nick Banks hit a triple in the second inning, his first in his Triple-A career (70 games)...LF Josh Palacios would go on to hit an RBI triple in the third...it was the Wings' first game with multiple triples since April 8 (third time this season).
DANG DANIEL: RHP Daniel Ponce de Leon allowed just one earned run over three innings of work while striking out six batters prior to the rain out ...Leon's six strikeouts are the most by a Wings starter in a debut this season...the righty's six strikeouts are his most in three innings of work since May 21 (w/ Tac v Sac, eight starts between), when he struck out the first nine batters he faced en route to a 12 strikeout performance over just five innings...the righty's one run allowed is the fewest over his last six starts (pre 5: 11.41 ERA, 23.2 IP/30 ER).
