HEARTBREAK KID: Center fielder Cole Freeman broke up RHP Casey Lawrence's no-hit bid in the bottom of the fourth inning with a one-out single...with this hit, he extended his hit streak to 3 games, going x-for-x over that span...he has now hit safely in six of his last seven games played.
TRILL BRILL: RHP Matt Brill made his Red Wing debut at Frontier Field in front of a crowd of 10,635 Red Wings fans, the largest crowd of the season...the newest member of the Rochester Bullpen pitched x innings, allowing x runs on x hits...prior to his promotion, the Illinois native pitched to a 1.93 ERA (4 ER/18.2), with a K/BB ratio of 18/11, good for a K/9 and BB/9 of 8.68 and 5.31 respectively.
STILL ON TOP: Despite tonight's loss the Wings remain are guaranteed to hold first place through the weekend...coming into the series with Buffalo, the Wings had a +1.5 game lead over the Bison for first place....with a 3-2 series lead headed into Sunday, Rochester will remain in soLE possession of first place, extending their streak to 25 straight games with at least a share of the top spot in the IL-east...a win tomorrow will improve Rochester's season series record to 6-2-1 on the year.
ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END: Tonight's 13-0 loss was the Red Wings first time being shutout since opening day, ending a 51-game streak of scoring at least one run...the Wings have conversely shutout opponents six times this year...tonight's game also ended the red wings extra-base hit streak at 52 games, they were the only team with an XBH in every game this season.

GETTING THE PARTY STARTED x2: Left fielder Nathan Lukes hit an inside the park grand slam in the top of the fourth inning to give Buffalo a 4-0 lead over the Wings...with this, Lukes has either driven in or scored the first Buffalo run in four straight games, dating back to Thursday's contest at Frontier Field...Lukes is now 8-for-20 with two home runs in this series against Rochester.
