ROYAL PAIN: In the last game before the All-Star break, the Wings fell to the Royal's top affiliate, 13-7, Sunday noon...the Wings utilized a season-high of nine pitchers in the loss to the Storm Chasers after they used six runs in the first and seven runs in the ninth to down Rochester arms...between those innings, the Wings posted seven scoreless frames out of the pen...OF Andrew Stevenson, 1B Joey Meneses, DH Josh Palacios and 2B Jake Noll all logged multi-hit performances with Meneses smacking two homers...LHP Josh Rogers will make his second Major League rehab start with the Wings this season, facing off against the Blue Jays' top affiliate tonight.

CLEARER SKIES AHEAD: Rochester split the series with Omaha, despite leading the series 3-1...the Wings have not won a series since June 5th versus Buffalo...the club is 0-3-3 over their last six series...the Red Wings will head down the thruway to Buffalo and look to improve their 7-5 record against the Bisons this season.

MASH-NESES: 1B Joey Meneses went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Sunday's loss...the 30-year-old's multi-homer game was his third of the year and his first since May 26 versus Syracuse...through 15 games in July, the righty is batting .310 (18-for-58) with four blasts and 10 RBI...the Mexico-native ended the first half of the season with 19 home runs, one shy of league-leaders Darick Hall (LHV) and JJ Bleday (JAX) who each have 20 shots...Meneses also ranks second in hits (99) seven back of league leader Alec Burleson (106, MEM)

NOLL-YWOOD: 2B Jake Noll went 2-for-4 with an RBI, marking his third multi-hit game of the series...the former FGCU Eagle has a hit in 13-of-his-last 15 games in July, slashing .373/.436/.809 this month...Noll had zero doubles in the series against Omaha, but finished the first half of the season with the second most doubles in the International League (23, one back of leader Estevan Florial 24).

DIGGING OUT OF A HOLE: The Wings posted nine of their 11 knocks while trailing and scored five runs before tying the game in the eighth inning on Sunday...the Wings' .267 AVG (328-for-1230) while trailing is good for second in the International League with their 328 knocks ranking them fourth in that category...with the Wings' defense allowing two hits in the ninth with the score tied on Sunday, Rochester's pitching has given up an IL-leading 213 hits when the score is tied in a contest.

SELF REFLECTION: As the Wings come off of the All-Star break, they have posted some notable numbers in the first half of their season (90 games):

SOUTHPAW KILLERS: The Wings have an International League-best batting average versus southpaws, batting .285 (241-for-847) and posting a 17-14 record when their opponent starts a lefty on the hill, compared to a .246 (531-for-2160) batting average and 30-29 record versus right-handers.

WE WIN THOSE: Although the Wings are 35-3 and 35-2 when leading after the 7th and 8th inning, respectively, the club posts the third-worst batting average (.235, 234-for-995) and the fourth-fewest total hits (234) in the IL when they are ahead in runs.

THURS-YAY: The Wings post a 12-3 record on Thursdays, their best single-day record with the next best being Saturdays and Sundays where the club has logged 9-8 and 9-5 records, respectively...Rochester has the second-best average (.282, 148-for-524), hits (148), total bags (253), and RBIs (93) while holding the crown for swiped bags (22) in the International League-East on Thursdays...the club has also registered 29% (25/85) of their homers, 24% (93/392) of their RBIs, and 24% (22/93) of their swiped bags on this day of the week.

2-OUT RAKERS: Rochester posts a league-best batting average (.262, 260-for-993) and total hits (260) with two outs...the Wings' 419 total bases and 56 doubles is good for fourth-most in the IL when Rochester has two men retired in an inning.

KOBE!: LF Josh Palacios extended his on-base streak to 24 games with his multi-hit performance on Sunday...the former Auburn Tiger has also extended his season-long hit-streak to 11 games, tied second for the longest active hit-streak in the International League...the lefty has the longest on-base streak on the Red Wings squad this season as well as the longest active streak in the IL...the last person to eclipse a 24-game on-base streak in a Wings uniform was former Red Wing Drew Maggi when he reached base safely in 39-straight (6/21-8/9/2019).

SOUTHPAW STARTER: LHP Josh Rogers will make his second rehab start for Rochester today...the lefty will look to bounce back from his first outing where he allowed seven earned runs in just 3.2 innings of work (6/30 vs. WOR)...the lefty went 7-3 with a 3.70 ERA (73 IP/30 ER) in 14 appearances with the Wings last season...the New York-native went 0-2 with a 5.03 ERA (16.1 IP/9 ER) in three starts against the Bisons last year.

A WEEKEND IN BUFFALO: Rochester will play their first three-game series since August 23-25, 2019 at Syracuse...the Wings hold a 26-22 record on the weekend (Friday-Sunday) this season...the club has a -2 run differential on the weekend in comparison to a -21 run differential on all other days.
