Roadrunners Announce 22-23 Season Schedule

TUCSON, ARIZONA - The Tucson Roadrunners, owned and operated by the Arizona Coyotes, today announced their regular season schedule for the 2022-2023 season which will begin on Friday, October 14 in Henderson.

The Roadrunners home opening weekend will be Saturday, October 22 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, October 23 at 4 p.m. against Bakersfield.

72 GAMES ON THE SCHEDULE

In 2022-2023, the Roadrunners will play 72 games, up from 68 in 2021-2022. Tucson will now host 36 regular season home games up from 34 in 2021-2022.

START TIMES

All Friday and Saturday Roadrunners home games will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday home games will begin at 6:30 p.m. The team will play four 4 p.m. matinees on Sunday, October 23; Sunday November 20; Sunday, January 29 and Sunday, February 19.

NEW PACIFIC DIVISION OPPONENTS

2- The Roadrunners will face two new division opponents this season with the addition of Calgary (Calgary Flames) and Coachella Valley Firebirds (Seattle Kraken.)

NEW ROAD BUILDINGS

5- The San Jose Barracuda (Tech CU Arena) and Henderson Silver Knights (Dollar Loan Center) will both be playing in new arenas this season. In addition, Tucson will make their first ever trips to Calgary and Coachella Valley. The Roadrunners will also play their first regular season games in Milwaukee on March 10 and 11, 2023 after playing at the UW Panther Arena for two preseason games in 2019.

TOTAL OPPONENTS

12- The Roadrunners will face 12 AHL teams during the season including: Abbotsford Canucks, Bakersfield Condors, Calgary, Chicago Wolves, Coachella Valley Firebirds, Colorado Eagles, Henderson Silver Knights, Milwaukee Admirals, Ontario Reign, San Jose Barracuda, San Diego Gulls, and Texas Stars.

WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS

25 of the Roadrunners 36 home games at Tucson Arena will be played on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

LONGEST HOME STANDS

The Roadrunners will host two home stands of six games; including November 11-20 when Coachella Valley, Henderson and San Jose will visit for six games over ten nights. In addition, Bakersfield, Chicago and Abbotsford will come to Tucson January 20-29 for six games over ten nights.

GEM SHOW TRIP

Tucson's annual "Gem Show Trip" will take place January 31-February 15 as the Roadrunners depart for seven contests in: Bakersfield, Ontario, Abbotsford, San Diego and Coachella Valley. The seven-game trip will be the Roadrunners longest of the season. Tucson's last home game before the trip will be on Sunday, January 29 with their first home game back from the trip on Saturday, February 18.
