
Road Weary Grizzlies Fall 4-1 In Bakersfield

Bakersfield, California - The Bakersfield Condors defeated the Utah Grizzlies (26-25-6-10) 4-1 Friday night at Rabobank Arena as Utah wrapped up three-games-in-three-nights and six games in eight evenings. The stretch also completes 13 of 15 games for Utah on the road and 26 contests over the last 44 nights with 15 of those played away from the E-Center.
Bakersfield built a 3-0 first period lead, outshooting Utah 17-7.
The Grizzlies cut the deficit to 3-1 at 11:30 of the second period with Tom May's 30th goal of the season and fifth score in the last two nights. However, Bakersfield reclaimed their three-goal lead back just ten seconds later and 4-1 would be the final score.
There was no scoring in the third period.
Goaltender Robert Gherson stopped 34 of 38 shots dropping to 5-3 on the season.
Utah now closes the season with four of their final five contests at home starting Tuesday with Phoenix. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
