NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - After falling behind 2-0, the Mississippi Sea Wolves battled back to even the game at two-apiece on a pair of third period goals, before falling 3-2 in overtime to the South Carolina Stingrays.

South Carolina's Keith Johnson potted his first of the game, breaking down the ice alone after picking off a loose puck in the neutral zone past getting enough on his shot to trickle it past Sea Wolves goalie Ryan Munce for a shorthand goal at 15:10 of the first period.

Johnson potted his second of the night with the Stingrays on the power play at 4:33 of the second, when Ryan Munce deflected Josh Godfrey's point shot up into the air and Johnson tapped it in when it landed on the goal line behind Munce.

Alex Parent's 18th goal of the season got the Sea Wolves on the board when Ryan Cruthers fed a centering pass to Parent, who rifled a shot from the top of the slot past South Carolina netminder James Reimer at 15:25.

At 18:35, Ryan Menei fed a pass to Chris Zarb at the bottom of the right circle, and Zarb fired it through Reimer's five hole to tie the game at two-apiece.

After failing to convert on a power play early in overtime, South Carolina's Mick Berge snuck down to the low slot and buried a goal-mouth feed from Pierre-Luc O'Brien at 3:15 of overtime to give the Stingrays a 3-2 win.

Ryan Munce made 32 saves to earn a loss, and the Sea Wolves were 0-for- 5 on the power play.

The next broadcast of Sea Wolves hockey is tomorrow when the Sea Wolves visit the South Carolina Stingrays at 4:05 CT, and will be heard on the B2 Networks and at www.msseawolves.com. The pre-game show presented by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will begin 15 minutes before the opening faceoff!
