Greenville, SC: The Road Warriors lost 3-2 in overtime to the Florida Everblades after surrendering two third period goals.
The first period was held scoreless until Jordie Johnston found the back of the net with 54 seconds remaining. Johnston noticed Everblades goaltender Trevor Cann out of the net so he shot the puck off his back and into the net for his 11th of the year. Michael St. Croix assisted on the goal to extend his point streak to three games. Greenville marched down the ice again to go ahead by two. With just 14 seconds left, Defenseman Brad Cole fired a slap shot past Cann for his third of the year and second in as many games. Justin Vaive assisted on the goal to extend his point streak to ten games. Josh Nicholls also tallied an assist to extend his point streak to three games.
Neither team was able to score in the second period. Goalie Connor Knapp made 11 saves in the period to help the Road Warriors keep their lead. Florida's Caan made 17 saves in the period to prevent any Road Warriors' chances. The period ended with the Road Warriors keeping their 2-0 lead.
The third period saw a Florida Everblades resurgence. The Everblades scored halfway through the period when Olivier Dame-Malka drove a shot through traffic to cut the Road Warriors lead to one. A few minutes later, Florida's Mathieu Roy blasted a slap shot past Knapp and tied the game at two and force overtime
Just 32 seconds into the overtime, Mike Little scored on scramble in front of the Road Warriors' net to give Florida the 3-2 win. Knapp made 39 saves in the loss. Cann saved 27 shots in the victory.
