
Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings vs Cincinnati Cyclones

Starting 2014 the same way they finished 2013, the Kalamazoo Wings will take on the Cincinnati Cyclones. Tonight is the eighth meeting of the season between the teams and final encounter at Wings Stadium. After this evening, the teams will meet three more times at the US Bank Arena.
The K-Wings rung in the New Year with a 4-3 victory over the Cyclones. Forward Matt Caria led the way for Kalamazoo by scoring two goals, including the game-winner. Tonight is the middle game of a three-game home stand for the K-Wings, who will conclude the stretch tomorrow versus the Toledo Walleye.
Tuesday's loss snapped a four-game winning streak and a seven-game (6-0-1-0) unbeaten streak in regulation for the Cyclones. Tonight is the final game of a four-game road trip for Cincinnati, who is 2-1-0-0 and has outscored their opponents 17-13 during the current trip.

K-Wings Add Cloutier
This afternoon, Kalamazoo has signed defenseman Dustin Cloutier. Starting the season in Norway, Cloutier has played part of his previous two seasons with the K-Wings.
Binnington Receive Honor Earlier today, goaltender Jordan Binnington was named the ECHL'S CCM Rookie of the Month for December. Binnington, who is the first member of the K-Wings to receive the honor, posted a GAA of 1.74 and a save percentage of 0.941.
Mr. 300 Forward Aaron Clarke is closing in on a personal milestone. Clarke needs two more points to reach 300 in his career.
What a Month
Forward Matt Caria earned 10 (5 points, 5 assists) out of his 13 points (6 goals, 7 assists) this season in the month of December. Caria closed out the month by netting two goals, including the game-winner for the K-Wings in their 4-3 victory over the Cyclones on New Year's Eve.
