Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), host the San Antonio Rampage tonight at 7:00 PT at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tonight is the sixth and final regular-season meeting between the two teams this season.
$2 20oz. Brew Friday:
In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, fans can grab $2 20oz. green Bud Light and Montejo draft brews tonight!
Welcome Home:
The Reign spent seven of the last eight games on the road and enter tonight's contest on a seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-1-0).
Backman Hits 50:
With a goal and an assist Wednesday night against San Jose, forward Sean Backman becomes the first member of the Reign to hit 50 points (18 goals, 32 assists) and is tied for 11th among AHL scorers.
Back on Top:
The Ontario Reign boast the best penalty-killing unit in the AHL at 87.8 percent (30 goals against on 245 opportunities).
Series at a Glance:
The Reign hold a 3-0-2-0 record against the Rampage and earned a thrilling 5-4 comeback victory in their last meeting on March 9 in San Antonio. On home ice, the Reign are 0-0-2-0 against the Rampage, suffering back-to-back overtime losses on October 30 (3-2) and 31 (2-1). Reign forward Nic Dowd leads all skaters in the series with three goals and four assists for seven points.
