Reign Add Veteran Forward to Lineup

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced the acquisition of AHL experienced forward, Jeremy Yablonski from the Idaho Steelheads, and the recall and trade of Steven Tarasuk, and the recall of Kyle Bigos to the Worcester Sharks.

Yablonski, 33, is an experienced veteran with 373 professional games played between the ECHL, AHL, and NHL. In addition to that, he has played 24 games in the KHL. A native of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Yablonski has recorded 26 AHL points (9g, 17a) and 939 penalty minutes, 13 ECHL points (5g, 8a) and 439 penalty minutes, and five minutes for fighting when he played with the St. Louis Blues.

The 6-foot-1, 235-pound blueliner has played for Reign Head Coach Jason Christie before with Peoria. Idaho is the only other ECHL team Yablonski has dressed for. He has played with Cincinnati, Worcester, Milwaukee, Binghamton, and Bridgeport in his 283 AHL games.

Tarasuk, 24, played in 14 games with Ontario and earned five points (1g, 4a). The defenseman came from the San Francisco Bulls where he recorded 15 points (3g, 12a) in 37 games. Tarasuk was recalled by Worcester and assigned to the Evansville Icemen.

Bigos, 24, recorded two assists in 11 games with the Reign after joining the team from San Francisco where he earned eight points (2g, 6a) in 40 games. The Upland, Calif. native racked up 93 penalty minutes in 51 ECHL games. Bigos will make his AHL debut with the Sharks.

The defenseman stands tall at 6-foot-4 and weighs in at 235 pounds. He was a fourth-round (#99 overall) Edmonton Oilers pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In July of 2013, Bigos' rights were traded to San Jose.

The Reign will host the Las Vegas Wranglers on Friday, Mar. 14 for a 7 p.m. game.
