
Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings at Toledo Walleye

Tonight will be the first of two straight games between the Kalamazoo Wings and Toledo Walleye. This will be the ninth meeting out of 13 between the teams this season. The K-Wings are 5-3-0-0 versus the Walleye, which includes a record of 0-2-0-0 at the Huntington Center.
The K-Wings come into the Huntington Center on a season-high five-game winning streak. With 75 points, the K-Wings led the North Division and are tied with the South Carolina Stingrays for second place overall in the Eastern Conference, just one point behind the conference leading, Reading Royals.
This evening starts a six-game home stand for the Walleye. On the season Toledo is 9-17-0-0 at the Huntington Center. The Walleye would love to keep one streak alive while ending another. Toledo comes into tonight on a two-game overall winning streak and an eight-game home losing streak.

Earning Recognition
On Tuesday, Joel Martin was named the CCM/ECHL Goaltender of the Week. Martin went 3-0-0-0 with a 1.99 goals-against average and a 0.928 save percentage last week.

The K-Wings start the week on a five-game winning streak. The five-game streak is a season-high for Kalamazoo.
