Today's Game: The RedHawks and Sounds are back to a regular schedule today when they meet at 6:35 p.m. The RedHawks are looking to win three straight games for the first time this month.

Yesterday: Oklahoma City swept the Sounds in a doubleheader Friday at Greer Stadium, winning the first game, 5-1, in nine innings and winning the second game, 6-3, in the scheduled seven innings. The RedHawks trailed most of the first game 1-0, but George Springer collected his first RBI since joining the team with a two-out, game-tying double in the sixth. Still tied 1-1 in the ninth inning, Carlos Perez hit a two-run single with the bases loaded to give OKC its first lead. A squeeze bunt from Jose Martinez and a Sounds error brought home two more runs. In his RedHawks debut, pitcher Wade LeBlanc retired the Sounds in order in the bottom of the ninth to preserve the win. Jason Stoffel (2-0) recorded the win for OKC, throwing 1.2 scoreless innings and retiring all four batters he faced.

In the nightcap, the Redhawks got early home runs by Jonathan Villar and Springer. The game was tied 2-2 when Oklahoma City put three runs on the board in the fourth with an RBI single by Ruben Sosa and a two-run double by Villar. The Sound scored once in the sixth, but the RedHawks got it back in the seventh. Making his first start for OKC, Jake Buchanan earned his first Triple-A win. After allowing two runs and three hits in the first inning, Buchanan held the Sounds scoreless with just one hit over his final four frames. He retired 13 of the last 14 hitters he faced, including the last nine straight. Josh Zeid worked a scoreless seventh to earn his seventh save.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Brad Peacock heads to the mound in his first career game at Greer Stadium...Peacock's last outing was Sunday in game one of a doubleheader against Omaha. He allowed five runs over six innings, but only two runs were earned. The seven hits he gave up were the most in seven starts with OKC this year. He walked a season-high six batters, but three of them were intentional. He did not figure in the decision. (OKC won 6-5 in 10 innings.)...Since returning to Oklahoma City June 12, Peacock has allowed just three earned runs in three starts, posting a 1.47 ERA. Peacock has pitched at least six innings in each of those starts, and the RedHawks have won all three games...Today marks his first start of 2013 against Nashville. While with Sacramento last season, Peacock fired four scoreless innings following a rehab start by Brett Anderson. He allowed just two hits and struck out nine, earning the win.

Against the Sounds: 2013: 8-2 2012: 13-3 All-time: 135-115 In NAS: 63-63

After dropping the very first game between the teams this season, the RedHawks have won eight of their last nine games against the Sounds...The RedHawks have held the Sounds to two runs or less in six of 10 meetings, limiting the Sounds to a .211 average...In their previous trip to Greer Stadium, the RedHawks won two of three in a rain-shortened, three-game series. It was a low-scoring series, with the two teams putting up 13 runs combined (OKC-8, NAS-5)...In 2012 the RedHawks dominated the season series, winning 13 of 16 games, including six of eight in Nashville...The RedHawks pitching staff posted an outstanding 2.67 ERA...OKC has claimed the season series in four of the last five years.

Sweep-ness: Yesterday was the RedHawks first doubleheader sweep in eight tries dating back to last season. The last time they swept a doubleheader was also at Greer Stadium on April 19, 2012.

The Magic Number: For just the second time this month, the RedHawks have won consecutive games. It's also the first time they have won back-to-back games in the same road series since May 21-22 in Fresno. They have not won three straight overall since a four-game win streak May 27-June 1 and have not won three in a row away from OKC since taking four straight April 9-10 in Nashville plus April 20-21 in Albuquerque. They have won three straight in the same road series just once this year, April 5-7 in Memphis.

Working Overtime: With a 5-1 win in nine innings in game one yesterday, the RedHawks improved to 6-1 in extra innings this season. It's the second-best record in the PCL among teams who have played at least three extra-inning games. New Orleans is tops at 8-1.

Wakeup Call: The RedHawks plated 10 runs over the final eight innings last night. They had scored nine runs over their previous 37 innings on the road. The six runs in game two was their highest output in a non-Albuquerque road game since scoring seven times May 22 in Fresno (16 games).

Starting with a Bang: In game two yesterday, Jonathan Villar connected on his third leadoff home run of the season (May 24 @ Iowa; June 16 vs. Round Rock). The RedHawks had two leadoff homers over the past two seasons combined. Against the Sounds, Villar is batting .400 with two homers and 10 RBI over 10 games. Six of 16 hits have gone for extra bases.

The Laird Up There: Brandon Laird is 7-for-12 during his current four-game hitting streak. He has notched multi-hit games in three straight for the second time this season (April 12-15). Laird leads the team in both home runs (5) and RBI (14) this month.

20/20 Vision: By belting his first home run with the RedHawks, George Springer became the first player in all of professional baseball this season to hit 20 home runs and steal at least 20 bases. The next-highest stolen base total among players in the minors with 20+ HR is nine (Miguel Sano of AA-New Britain). Since beginning his professional career in the summer of 2011, Springer has hit 45 homers and swiped 59 bags.

Starting Line: Over the last 13 games, the RedHawks starting rotation has posted a 2.26 ERA (20 ER/79.2 IP). In the last 18 games, OKC starting pitchers have allowed one or no earned runs nine times, with 11 quality starts.
