Papillion, NE - The Chicago Cubs have activated C Steve Clevenger from the 60-day disabled list and optioned him to the Iowa Cubs. With the addition of Clevenger, Iowa's active roster stands at 24 players.
Clevenger has been on Chicago's disabled list since April 14 with a strained oblique. He batted .327 (17-for-52) with five doubles, three homers, 14 runs scored, and 11 RBI in 15 games on Major League rehab with Iowa from June 3-21. He was 1-for-8 with Chicago prior to his injury.
