
One Millionth Passes Through Werner Park Gates Friday

OMAHA, Neb. - After 173 total game dates over two plus seasons in the history of Werner Park, the Omaha Storm Chasers welcomed their 1,000,000 th fan prior to tonight's contest against the Iowa Cubs. Ten-year-old Jaden Holman from Bellevue was 5,403 rd person through the gates Friday night.
Holman was attending the game with his family as a part of the Black Hills Energy picnic. The young baseball fan received a prize package including ten tickets per game (100 total) to ten select Storm Chasers home games on July 13, 14, 22, 25 and 29 as well as August 8, 15, 24, 31 and finally September 2. The package also included a Storm Chasers home jersey and a free 2013 season pass to the Centris Family Fun Zone.
In addition to prizes from the Omaha Storm Chasers, corporate partners of the team also donated various merchandise, gift cards and much more. These organizations are Omaha Steaks, Hardee's, Nebraska Office of Highway Safety, Outback Steakhouse, Nebraska Lottery, Kellogg's, Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Pinnacle Bank, Huerter Orthodontics, Sport Clips, SAC Federal Credit Union, Centris Federal Credit Union, McDonald's, Pepsi, American Family Insurance, Jim Beam and Amtrak.
The celebration and prizes are not limited to the Holman, as the Storm Chasers are now rewarding any and all fans with a ticket special in honor of the milestone. The Storm Chasers will offer $1 McDonald's Berm tickets to either July 1 or September 1 on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. and lasting until 2 p.m. at the Werner Park Ticket Office, online at www.omahastormchasers.com or by phone at (402) 738-5100.
During the inaugural season at Werner Park in 2011, the Pacific Coast League Champion Omaha Storm Chasers thrilled a totaled of 410,326 over the 69 openings that year. In 2012, Omaha had 415,650 fans over their 70 total openings as the Chasers repeated as American Conference Champions.
