
Zephyrs Lose 6-2 in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Joey Butler led first place Round Rock with three hits and two RBI in a 6-2 come from behind victory over the New Orleans Zephyrs in front of an announced crowd of 8,159 at The Dell Diamond.
The former University of New Orleans Privateer delivered a key hit in the sixth inning. The Express led the contest 4-2, Butler batted with two outs and delivered a two run single. Butler also scored a pair of runs for the Express.
The Zephyrs scored first with some aggressive base running from Gorkys Hernandez. He doubled, stole third and scored on an infield ground-out. Hernandez delayed before coming home and gave the Z's a 1-0 lead.
The Express answered in the second inning with an unearned run. New Orleans scored their second run with a Hernandez triple followed by a Donovan Solano sacrifice fly in the third.
Round Rock took the lead in the bottom of third capitalizing on another Zephyrs error, and walk. The Zephyrs pitching staff walked eight batters in the game.
Evan Meek earned the win pitching six innings allowing two runs on four hits. Brian Flynn fell to 2-8 on the season. He worked 4.2 innings allowed 4 runs, 2 earned on eight hits. He did strikeout eight.
The Z's threatened late with a pair of hits in the eighth inning. Johan Yan struck-out Kyle Jensen and worked a perfect ninth for his third save.
The Zephyrs fall to 41-42 with the loss and six games back of the Express.
