San Antonio returns to Peoria, site of last weeks 3-1 Rampage win, their first over the Rivermen this season. Tonight is the third of eight meetings between the West Division rivals.
Saturday, Jan. 3 vs Quad City @ I Wireless Center, 7:05 p.m
The Rampage conclude their 3-in-3 series in Quad City. The West Division Rivals meet for the fifth time this year. The Flames lead the season series 3-1.
SHOTS FROM THE POINT 08-09
ROAD WARRIORS: San Antonio entered last week as the only AHL team winless on the road at 0-10-0-1. The Rampage shook that off winning on back- to-back nights in Houston (5-3) and Peoria (3-1).
WAKE ME UP WHEN DECEMBER ENDS: It's a long climb back but the Ram- page have turned things around in December. Not only have they set a fran- chise winning streak this month, but goalie Josh Tordjman tied his franchise winning streak and broke the franchise all-time wins mark. As a team, San Antonio is 9-2 in December.
PLEASE DON'T GO: The debut of Joel Perrault and return of David Spina has meant wonders on the ice. Both of their returns came at the beginning of De- cember and the results are hard to ignore. Perrault has played in all 11 games in December totaling 3 goals and 8 assists. Spina, who has played in 10 games after missing 17 due to injury, has added 3 goals and 6 assists.
ICE CHIPS: Jeff Hoggan
Team Captain and 7-year pro Jeff Hoggan says he likes to lead by example. He's tied for the team lead with 10 goals.
Hoggan, from Hope, British Columbia (pop. 7,000), signed as a free agent July 17, 2008. Originally inked by the Min- nesota Wild (NHL) out of Nebraska-Omaha, Hoggan won the 2003 Calder Cup with Houston in his rookie season.
Jeff is coming off his most successful individual campaign scoring 67 points for Providence last year.
Upcoming Promotions
New Years Day Special: Help ring in the New Year with the Rampage. Tickets are available for $9 for anywhere in the arena. Game time is at 3 p.m.
$1 Drink Night: Don't forget that Fridays are KISS ROCKS $1 DRINK NIGHT in which fans enjoy $1 draft beer and $1 fountain soda all night.
