
Hamilton Hosts Syracuse, Toronto, and Iowa this Week

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will play three games at Copps Coliseum this week. In their final game of 2008, the âDogs host their North Division archrival the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) on Tuesday, December 30th for a 7:30 p.m. match-up. To start 2009, the Bulldogs welcome the Syracuse Crunch (AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets) to Copps Coliseum on Friday, January 2nd for a 7:30 p.m. game. Hamilton closes out the week on Saturday, January 3rd at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Iowa Chops (AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks) in the first meeting between the clubs in franchise history.
Last week, Hamilton went 1-2-0-0 in three games and now has an overall record of 19-11-2-0 through 34 games. On Friday, December 26th the âDogs dropped a close decision 2-1 decision to the Rochester Americans at Blue Cross Arena. The Bulldogs allowed three unanswered goals in the third period to drop a 5-4 contest to Syracuse on Saturday, December 27th at Onondaga County War Memorial. The Bulldogs finished the week on a high note after defeating the Americans 4-3 in a shootout on Sunday, December 28th.
