San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage (12-6-1-0) took a 3-1 lead into the third period, but couldn't hold on against the Oklahoma City Barons (11-4-2-2), falling 4-3 in overtime in front of 5,420 on Teddy Bear Toss Night, presented by HEB.
Drew Shore got the Rampage on the board first, wristing the puck past Laurent Brossoit and pulling the trigger on Teddy Bear Toss Night, as fans launched more than 1,000 stuffed bears onto the ice.
Logan Shaw extended San Antonio's lead to two, collecting his own rebound and burying the puck to give San Antonio a 2-0 lead at 11:02 of the opening stanza. The tally was Shaw's fifth of the season, three of which have come in the Rampage's last five games. The Barons came within one late in the frame, as Brad Hunt put the puck over Houser's right shoulder from the high slot.
Mark Mancari's fourth of the season wrapped up the scoring for the period, giving the Rampage a 3-1 lead at the first intermission.
After a scoreless second period, Tyler Pitlick scored to cut the deficit to one at 12:08, and Matthew Ford tallied late to knot the game at three with less than three minutes remaining, sending the Rampage and the Barons to overtime for the fourth time this season.
Jordan Oesterle put the game away for Oklahoma City with 47.1 seconds left in the extra frame, giving the Barons their first win in six games against the Rampage.
