Amerks Recall Three from Elmira Jackals

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has recalled forwards Allan McPherson and Kevin Sundher and defenseman Brady Austin from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
McPherson, 23, has recorded 15 points (8+7) and 14 penalty minutes in 18 games with Elmira this season. Last season, he appeared in five AHL games and recorded one assist with the Abbotsford Heat after completing his collegiate career at Clarkson University. In four seasons at Clarkson, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound native of Kinburn, Ontario, registered 103 points (41+62) and 88 penalty minutes in 150 games. McPherson signed with the Amerks organization as an undrafted free agent on Aug. 12, 2014.
Sundher, 22, has registered one assist in 13 games with the Amerks this season while also appearing in one ECHL game with Elmira. Last season, Sundher collected 20 points (6+14) and 25 penalty minutes in 60 games for Rochester. In 111 career AHL games with the Amerks, the 6-foot, 185-pound native of Surrey, British Columbia, has recorded 34 points (10+24) and 57 penalty minutes. Sundher was originally selected by the Sabres in the third round (75th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Austin, 21, has recorded one assist in 13 games with the Amerks this season while also appearing in one ECHL game with Elmira. Last season, he concluded his junior career by splitting the year with Belleville and London of the Ontario Hockey League and totaling 33 points (9+24) and 42 penalty minutes in 67 games. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound native of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, was originally selected by the Sabres in the seventh round (193rd overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
