Springfield Falcons Sign Left Wing Corey Cowick to AHL Contract

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons have signed left wing Corey Cowick to a one-year American Hockey League contract, Falcons Director of Hockey Operations Bruce Landon announced today.

Cowick, 25, has skated in 17 contests with the Falcons this season while on a professional tryout contract, tallying six points (4g, 2a) and 11 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 208-pound forward spent the 2013-14 season with the Binghamton Senators accumulating 25 points (12g, 13a) and 89 penalty minutes in 72 appearances. The Gloucester, Ontario native has played in 244 career AHL games, amassing 81 points (38g, 43a) to go along with 243 penalty minutes.

Cowick was drafted in the sixth round, 160th overall, by the Ottawa Senators in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
