The San Antonio Rampage commence their toughest week of the season tonight as they embark on a five-game in six-night excursion which ends on Dec. 31-New Year's Eve ... The Rampage have won 6 of their last 9 games, including 4 of their last 6 on the road ... San Antonio closes out the month of December with this current three game road trip and a pair of home games before the New Year ... The Phoenix Coyotes AHL affiliate enter tonight with a record of 11-18-0-1, ranking 7th in the West Division with 23 points.
Against Houston: The Houston Aeros rank 1st in the West Division and the Western Conference ... Tonight's contest will be the fifth meeting (of 12) of the season between these two teams as the Rampage are 1-2-0-1 heading into tonight's game ... This meeting will be the first time that the two teams don't play a home-and-home series against each other this season ... The Rampage's only win against the Minnesota Wild affiliate stems from their home opener on Oct. 8 ... San Antonio's last meeting at the Toyota Center was a shootout loss on Nov. 12 ... Three of the four previous meetings have been decided by one goal, the lone exception was their last meeting, Nov. 13, where the Aeros defeated the Rampage 3-1.
