San Antonio Rampage News Release
Houston - Brent Cullaton scored his third goal of the season to give the San Antonio Rampage a 1-1 score in the first period before the Houston Aeros scored six unanswered goals to hand the Rampage a 7-1 loss Monday at the Toyota Center.
The Aeros lead the West Division and Western Conference with a 23-8-1-1 record and 48 points.
Cullaton scored his first goal since Nov. 19 at 11:29 in the first period as Chris McAllister assisted on the goal.
With a 1:04 remaining in the period, Houston scored a power-play goal from a boarding penalty to start their scoring run.
Aeros' Joel Ward scored just 31 seconds into the second frame to kick off a four-goal period. Rampage head coach Pat Conacher inserted Karl Goehring for the final 32:13 replacing goaltender David LeNeveu after Houston's Patrick O'Sullivan scored a power-play goal at 7:47 in the second period for their third goal of the period.
The Rampage (11-19-0-1) will play the Cleveland Barons Tuesday night in Cleveland at 6 p.m. CT.
