
Rampage Announce 2008-09 Regular Season Schedule

SAN ANTONIO (August 7, 2008) - The San Antonio Rampage will officially open their seventh season at home on Saturday, October 11. The top affiliate for the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes will host Nashville Predators' top affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, at the AT&T Center at 7 p.m.
The Rampage will play a total of 80 games (40 home, 40 away) with a fan-friendly home schedule featuring 27 weekend dates (8 Fridays, 13 Saturdays and 6 Sundays). All of the Rampage home games start at 7 p.m. with the exception of Sunday games which will start at 5 p.m.
All regular season games can be heard on the Rampage's flagship station KTKR "The Ticket" 760 AM (subject to conflicts).
SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN
The Rampage will be one of 29 teams competing for the Calder Cup and will face a record 20 opponents this season. The Rampage will square off against the Binghamton Senators (Ottawa) and the Hershey Bears (Washington) for the first time in their seven-year history. They will also face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Pittsburgh) and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (New York Islanders) for the first time since their inaugural season. The Iowa Chops, formerly the Iowa Stars (Dallas), will debut a new name and uniform this season that marks their new affiliation with the Anaheim Ducks.
The Rampage are part of the eight-team West Division and will play 50 games against their division opponents. The Western Conference consists of both the West Division and North Division in which the Rampage play a total of 68 games against their Conference opponents including 18 games against the North Division. The Rampage will play four games against Atlantic Division opponents and eight games against East Division opponents for a total of 12 games against Eastern Conference opponents.
The Rampage's annual rodeo road trip will feature a 14-game odyssey in a 20-day span comprising approximately 6,595 miles.
Rampage home game highlights include a seven-game homestand beginning Nov. 29 through Dec. 13, a Halloween game on Oct. 31, a New Year's Day game on Jan. 1, and three weekend games against in-state rival Houston.
